June 28: Move Out Sunday
In the iconic words of every frantic salesperson pitching their wares at their going-out-of-business sale:
“EVERYTHING MUST GO!”
Okay, fine… that’s not exactly true.
Many items in the Knight St building never belonged to Access in the first place, and will not continue on. And some of them are in the process of being sold, donated, or disposed of.
But the plan has been for us at Access Covenant Church to move our essential belongings into a different space for storage. Based on the new relationships we are in the process of forging, that new place is First Tongan United Methodist Church (click for Google Maps link).
However, Pastor Funga has indicated their church would like as much of the furniture (including chairs!) that we can bring. Therefore, this Sunday’s move out will require more labor than we initially thought.
So as they say, many hands make light work!
If you have any kind of vehicle for cargo transport (cars, pickup trucks, vans, SUVs, even bike trailers), we could use your help.
More importantly, if you can show up with an able body, an attitude to serve, and a hopeful, adventurous spirit, that would make a big difference.
"Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go" (Joshua 1:9, NIV).
"The Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore” (Psalm 121:8).
As always, we’ll be starting at 10am.
