June 21: Pack It Up Sunday

June 21: Pack It Up Sunday
A wise man once said:
“Pack it up, pack it in… let us begin.”
That man is Erik Schrody, also known as Everlast, the former front man of the 90s hip-hop group House of Pain, in their iconic single, “Jump Around.”
We won’t be doing a whole bunch of jumping around, but we will need a little bit of wild, frantic energy in order to attack the process of labeling, packing and marking items to be moved into storage as we prepare to move on from the Knight St building.
As always, Jelani Greenidge will be blasting high-energy beats throughout.
Bear in mind, this will mostly be about selecting specific items and sorting them into groups. There are some decisions yet to be made about specific items of furniture (like chairs, tables, etc.) but for the most part this will be about doing our best to identify which items will be useful for the next iteration of our church life and which ones can be donated, sold, given away, or simply disposed of.
If you have moving supplies (boxes, tape, etc.) you would like to contribute feel free to bring them, however we will also be purchasing storage containers for the purpose of longer-term storage and weekly deployment.
At the conclusion of our time together, we’ll have some pizza, and because it will be Father’s Day, we’ll have a brief written reflection to honor some of the excellent dads of Access Church, written by our very own Bonnie Parker.
Proverbs 20:7: "The righteous man walks in his integrity; His children are blessed after him."
Hope to see you soon.
REMINDERS:
SUNDAY JUNE 28th — MOVE OUT SUNDAY.
We’ll be moving things into storage and saying our final goodbye to the building.
SUNDAY JULY 5th — SABBATH SUNDAY (no gathering).
