August 30th: One More Simple Summer Sunday

Hey hey hey, everybody!

THIS SUNDAY

We are back on August 30th for one final Simple Summer Sunday to wrap up our summer season of gatherings before Labor Day weekend and our first Sunday at the Foster Theater.

This Sunday we'll be gathering in the Lopez Ericksen's backyard (5038 SE 99th Avenue) for a time of worship, prayer, some light breakfast snacks, and the return of one Pastor Joel Mark Sommer, fresh from his summer sabbatical.

Hey Church,

It was great to be with you last Sunday at Oxbow Park! I'm slowly getting my feet back under me as leave ends and I return to ministry. My time away was an incredible gift from church staff and leadership, and from all of you. In the midst of much heartbreak, we made some beautiful memories. Returning to ministry in our new normal is going to be a learning curve for me, Sabrina, and our sons, and I so appreciate your prayers.

I'm looking forward to being with you this weekend and sharing a simple interactive reflection on Exodus 3:1-15, entitled: *In the Midst of Terrible Circumstances (What is God Doing?)*

Let's reflect together via Scripture on how God shows up when the odds are overwhelming. See you Sunday.
